Vanilla pastry cream
°½ dl whole milk
°1 dl whole cream
°1 vanilla pod, cut lengthwise
°2 tbsp cornflour
°1 egg
°2 tbspsugar
Shapes
°1 rectangular puff pastry rolled out (approx. 25 x 42 cm)
°400 g pitted cherries, approx. 320g pitted cherries
°a little icing sugar
Whisk together all the ingredients up to and including the sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring. Once the mixture has set, remove the pan from the heat and continue stirring for 2 minutes. about. Pour the cream into a bowl through a sieve and leave to cool.
Shapes
Cut the puff pastry in half, then each piece of dough in three. Fold in the corners and place the pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread the cream in the middle of the dough, garnish with cherries.
Cooking
Approx. 30 mins. in the middle of the oven preheated to 200°C. Take out of the oven and let cool.
