Sweet-Hawaiian-Crockpot-Chicken

*INGREDIENTS :

° 6 chicken thighs or breasts (skin removed)
° 2 tablespoons butter (30 g)
° 1 tablespoon oil
+Sauce:
° 1 can crushed or diced pineapple with juice (398 ml)
° 1/2 cup water (125ml)
° 1/2 cup orange, peach or pineapple juice (125 ml)
° 3/4 cups sugar (225 g, but I personally use 1 cup)
° 1 tsp soy sauce (15 ml)
° 1 tablespoon chicken concentrate (15 ml)
° 1/3 cup apple cider or wine vinegar (65 ml)
° 1 tablespoon cornstarch (15 g) dissolved in 2 tbsp.
° tbsp water

*PREPERATION

STEP 1
Salt and pepper the chicken, sear it in butter and oil. Put aside.
2ND STEP
Sauce: Simmer all the ingredients except the starch, for 10 to 15 minutes. It will smell a little strong from the vinegar, that's normal.
STEP 3
Thereafter, you must thicken with cornstarch mixed with a little water, simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
STEP 4
Pour the sauce over the chicken and put in the oven at 350 F covered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
STEP 5
Serve with good rice. This recipe is delicious and is even better if prepared the day before. It takes all its flavor. I love putting sauce on rice..

Even better made the day before.
