~BLUEBERRY PIE COOKIES!

°1 pack pie crust.. (I used a Pillsbury 2 pack)
°3/4 cup blueberry pie filling (or any flavor)
°1 cup of glitter/icing sugar... the sweet stuff! Regular is just good!
°1 egg for egg wash.. (1 egg beaten with a sprinkling of water)
°Sprinkle flour to flatten the dough a little bit until they are even with each other...
°3″ Round Biscuit Cutter

*Directions :

Spread both crusts and spread one of them using the pie filling...

Now ... cut the other crust into 18 slices, this will be the grid ...

Put 9 strips on the pie filling and peel off every other strip ~ Add 9 strips one at a time..weave as you go to form a mesh top...

Clean the mesh-covered shell with some egg wash...

Generous sprinkles of sugar...

Cut them with your own cookie cutter ~ any slicer you want will work. Love the triple round for a large pie-like cookie...

Using the spatula to transfer, gently place on a sheet tray (I did not grease my pan) ~ Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. You just want it gold so keep an eye on it...

Let them cool off and take a moment to enjoy their beauty and say “Ahh~oooooooo~!

Now you can serve them...

It means sharing and letting some go...

Maybe get a few of them first...

Here you are! ~Enjoy! 🙂
